Double click on picture to pull it up and you will see a building with Horses running right in front of it. We must be in the Wild Wild West.

Mingo RV Park

A quick shot along the Interstate in Tulsa. We were going to try and get to Sallisaw and spend the night but Tulsa is as far as we got.

We go in spend the night and we go out the next morning before daylight, enough said about that.

Tulsa

Tulsa Oklahoma and we are losing the blue sky with more bands of Ike coming.
Would you say U-Haul goes the extra mile??

Keystone Lake on I-412

Blue sky oh how beautiful!! Still have the landscape you can see forever. Keystone Lake looks more like a River than a Lake.

Oklahoma

We are now in Oklahoma and the rain has stopped just overcast.

Wichita Kansas

We are still seeing the grain silo's
If you squint you can see Wichita. We wanted to go and see Matt, Bethany and the Children and then their new home. But Emma Caroline had a 24 hour virus and none of us need to take a chance and more Ike was on its way and we needed to get Shamu and us out of Dodge. So we keep rolling.

Bands of IKE

This was someones field, not supposed to be a lake. Got a Boat???

I-35 to Wichita

We have left Russell Kansas on I-70. When we pulled out we were going home the same way we came out. But the rain was so bad and the weather map showed that we might have a break if we went south toward Wichita on I-35 NOT. We left the weather system we had for a couple of days to meet IKE, hello!!! The outer bands got to us quicker than expected. We thought we would have time to swing above them. I lightened this so you could see it, but I don't know what it says.

Sunset in Russell Kansas

This was our last night in Kansas and after we got back from the hospital and Robert was doing much better. We too a walk to the end of the Park and the sun going down was so pretty. These are two of the pictures I took.

Senator Bob Dole Homeplace

This is Downtown Russell Kansas, who knew. You never know what you are going to find around the corner from where you are staying.

Boot Hill Hays

Downtown Hays Kansas

On our way back to the Hospital we drove through downtown Hays and I saw steeples and that was all she wrote I had to get them. This is The First United Methodist Church. The one below is St Joseph's

Fort Medical Supplies

These were in the Fort Welcome Center and the Man in there told me that these were some of the medical and Dental tools. The two things in the middle of the bottom picture he said is what they used to extract teeth. I am so thankful for the 21century.

Herd of Bullalo in Hays

This statue is in the Park where the Buffalo are. Wanda and I never figured it out.

There were lots of babies, they were fun to watch nurse and run around.

Buffalo at Fort Hays

Fort Hays is behind the top picture. This Statue is right out on the road going in. The real Buffalo is across the street.

Old Fort Hays

Wanda and I left the Hospital to go over to Fort Hays to see the Buffalo. We were told here were some babies here so off we went to take pictures.

Botanical Garden in Hospital

There was waterfalls in the foliage. This is right out side the Cafeteria where you set to eat.

Fossil State

This is in the 66 gas station that we go through to get to the RV Park, hello. Kansas is known as the Fossil State and all up the interstate you see fossil stakes in the fence rows. Didn't know what they were till we got here.

Bird in Question

Sorry I don't know what he has to do with the price of fish but he is my landmark to the Hays exit. So he is a good bird, because one morning I went to the hospital and it was still dark and he guided my way.

Victoria, Kansas

On our way back to the RV Park after we went to the Hospital and saw Wanda and Robert, we turned at the Victoria exit and found the Church. I'm sorry its a Cathedral and it is on Cathedral Street.

Gorham, Kansas

This is one of the exits between us and the hays exit. You can always see the Church steeple in the mist of the village.
Ok can you see it? It has two steeples and I don't know how but I got to get there. The sign at the exit says Victoria. Ok here I come.

HELOOOOOO

Don't you just want to stand out there and see if you holler and it will come back. Well not in this life time.
We have arrived in Russell, Kansas where we are going to be till Robert is out of the hospital. We are 28 miles from the hospital and this is really the closest we can get. I know Bobby there was the one called The Sunflower RV park. Well NOT!!!!

Sleeping Dogs

Sonny drives I take pictures and they sleep
Road kill soon. He is on the interstate.
