Pronghorn

The Lord is still showing us new and wonderful things that we have never seen before. I thought when we left Yellowstone that was going to be it for the wild animals. Then we saw Mr and Mrs Moose and now a herd of Pronghorns. Most people including me think they are Antelope, but the Antelope are in Africa and southeast Asia.

Pronghorns both Male and Female have horns. The males horns are 10 to 16 inches long and the females are only 1 to 2 inches long and are not pronged. Only about 70% of females have horns. The male shed his between November and December and get to full growth in September. What a pain. The female shed and regrow their horns at various times. More than you wanted to know.
